This report was written in April of 2018 as part of a final assignment of a business process course at Towson University. The project focuses on the implementation of Bizagi, a BPMN process management software, and the use of process management techniques to improve the academic advising process of the business faculty of Towson University. Throughout the project's development process, my team and I used Bizagi to digitalize the entire academic advising process. This allowed me to see the complete process from a broader perspective, discover errors in the process, and create solutions to improve it. 

 

The implementation of this process management software allowed me to create well educated suggestions that can produce positive results, such as: increasing awareness of advising sessions among students, simplifying the scheduling method to meet an advisor, increasing the student email open rate, and decreasing the workload of oversaturated academic advisors. 

 

As prospective project manager, it is important for me to know how to use softwares like Bizagi to create solutions for business problems. This is a software that is used by companies like Adidas and General Electronics to improve processes and generate millions in revenue. Knowing how to use and implement this software in a professional setting is a powerful skill for me to have and use to deliver results at any company in the future.
