These executive summary and PowerPoint presentation are a crucial part of a team contest that I was part of during the Spring 2018 semester at Towson University. This contest involved developing an action plan for Kelly Services, Inc. that touched on the following problems:
a) High need for client retention in the staffing industry
b) Underdeveloped engagement with Millennial market in the commercial industry
c) Customer expectations are always increasing and changing
To address these issues, my team and I worked together to develop a project named Project 360X. This project consisted in three different phases: First, implementing a client incentive structure to increase client retention. Second, partnering with higher education institutions in Maryland to create a direct pipeline between Kelly Services and millennial talent. Lastly, making an official Annual Innovation Day to allow employees to focus on creating solutions for current problems and enhance customer experience by improving continuously.
The moment my team and I started working on this project, we agreed on performing to the best of our ability to win this contest. This goal allowed us to stay focused and achieve a high standard of performance throughout the rigorous process of creating and presenting solutions to one of the best staffing companies in the country. It was rewarding to see judge panel congratulating us for our performance and selecting us as the winers of the contest.
After the successful outcome of this project, I learned to always work with a clear and specific goals in mind. Doing so will always help me stay focused, and make decisions that directly align with my desired outcome.
